South Florida Family Seeks Public Assistance in Locating Stolen French Bulldogs

by Lisa

A family in Princeton, South Florida, is reaching out to the public for assistance after three of their dogs, including two puppies, were allegedly stolen from their residence. The incident, captured on surveillance video on February 29, revealed a person in a black hoodie tossing the dogs over a fence to an accomplice in a gray hoodie on the other side.

The distressing footage showed the dogs yelping as they were thrown over the fence, colliding with a trash can before landing on the ground. The owner, Juan Galindo, received a call from neighbors alerting him to the theft shortly after he had left the house.

Galindo expressed the adrenaline rush upon hearing the news, saying, “So, then I came as fast as I could. But by the time I got here, it was already — they were gone.” The stolen French Bulldogs included a mother, a cherished family member for over two years, and her 4-month-old puppies.

Describing his emotions, Galindo conveyed anger, stating, “Honestly, I’m just angry. I want them [the alleged thieves] to get consequences.” Galindo’s mother, speaking with NBC6 off-camera, shared concerns not only for their dogs but also for the family’s safety, given that trespassers gained access to their property.

Additional surveillance footage from the day before suggested the subjects were observing the house, indicating a potential premeditated act. Galindo revealed that this wasn’t the first time, mentioning a previous incident in January where a dog was stolen and a ransom paid, but it went unreported due to the lack of surveillance.

Despite the family now having cameras and securing their gate, the thieves allegedly struck again. Galindo highlighted the family’s use of a doggy door to allow their pets access to the fenced-in backyard, emphasizing that the dogs were in their home when stolen.

“Why should I be careful about having my dogs in their house?” questioned Galindo. “Why is it my fault that my dogs are outside? You know, this is their home.”

The Miami-Dade Police Department confirmed the incident had been reported and assigned to a detective for investigation. The family is urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in locating their beloved French Bulldogs.
