Key Insights from Community Feedback
Earlier in 2024, the Council conducted surveys to understand community priorities. Here’s what was learned:
Top 5 Priorities for the Park:
- Upgraded play spaces catering to different age groups.
- Enhanced security through better lighting.
- Improved drainage systems.
- Additional parking and upgraded pathways.
- A fenced off-leash dog exercise area.
Support for a Dog Exercise Area:
- 83% of respondents supported adding a dog exercise area within the Glenfields Estate.
- The preferred location is the park’s southern section, supported by 53% of participants.
Despite some concerns about an off-leash area, the majority view aligns with enhancing park facilities for pets and owners.
