A woman in Perth, Australia, remains in a serious but stable condition in the hospital after being attacked by her two Rottweilers at her residence. The incident took place in the suburb of Success in the city’s south, prompting a police response.
Neighbors reported hearing the woman’s screams before attempting to intervene in the attack. One neighbor, Bryn Spencer, expressed his willingness to help but faced the challenge of confronting two Rottweilers without suitable tools for rescue. He described using a bat and shouting in an attempt to deter the dogs during the attack.
Another individual at the scene resorted to spraying one of the dogs with water to disrupt the attack temporarily. Despite these efforts, the attack persisted, with the dogs eventually dragging the woman to another area of the property.
The victim, identified as 31-year-old Nikita Piil, was subsequently taken to the hospital. Authorities are investigating the incident, which has left the community shocked and concerned for her well-being.
