Fu Zai, China’s first corgi police dog, has officially commenced his duties after successfully passing rigorous assessments designed for law enforcement canines. The Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau recently shared a photo of Fu Zai celebrating his certification as a police dog. This contrasts sharply with his previously well-known joyful demeanor.
Fu Zai officially transitioned from reserve status to a fully certified police dog this month, as reported by the public security bureau in Weifang, located in East China’s Shandong Province. The assessment process was tailored to match Fu Zai’s unique abilities, which allowed him to excel in obedience training, luggage and vehicle searches, room searches, and navigating obstacles—all under the guidance of his dedicated trainer. The charming corgi made his public debut in March during an open day event at a police camp in Weifang.
