In Mingting community, residents who have dogs and residents who are afraid of dogs have frequent conflicts due to dog-walking problems. 70-year-old Aunt Wang is afraid of dogs, so she runs away from them. Gu regards her pet as family, but is also concerned about the influence of the dog on the neighborhood. Lei Guoxing, secretary of the General Party branch of Anqiu Residential area, found that although most residents who own dogs have a basic sense of civilized pet keeping, uncivilized behavior still causes contradictions.
To this end, Lei Guoxing contacted the Shanghai Pet Association, invited professional guidance, and teamed up with resident designer Chang Qi to plan and design a “dog sports line” for the community. According to the residents’ dog walking habits and walking routes, two special lines are set up in Buildings 1-2 and 5-6, which are less crossed with the residents’ moving lines, and there are civilized pet raising warning signs along the way. In the future, it is also planned to add urine piles, pet toilet areas, permeable bricks, etc., to create a “cute pet paradise”, and guide residents to walk their dogs regularly and clean up feces in time.
In addition, the General Party Branch of the residential area built a platform to carry out the activity of “looking for a reliable dog partner” and invited professionals from the pet hospital to answer residents’ questions in the community. Residents actively communicate with each other, Aunt Wang’s resistance to pets is reduced, and Ms. Gu’s care of pets is also stricter.
Floating eagle Garden community: corridor for a new look, inherit the family style family training
Floating Eagle Garden community is the largest community in the area of floating eagle Neighborhood Committee, its 33, 34 building corridor before there were peeling walls, insufficient lighting, debris pile and other problems. After the residents put forward the beautification idea, the Party General branch of the floating Eagle residential area listed these two buildings as “beautiful home” corridor renovation projects. After extensive consultation with residents, a professional design team was invited to develop a detailed plan according to the characteristics of the corridor and the needs of residents.
Today, after the renovation, Building 33 and Building 34 have become the “fashion building” and “Chongde Building” respectively, and the corridor has taken on a new look. The ground is flat, the lighting facilities are updated, and the painted walls incorporate traditional elements and family traditions. Resident Ms. Wang said that now the corridor environment has improved, and it is more comfortable to return late. The well-designed propaganda language of family style and family discipline is presented in the form of murals, and the corridor is not only a passing space, but also a civilized channel for inheriting family style and family discipline. Xu Jun, secretary of the General Party branch of Floating Eagle residential area, said that the transformation not only beautify the environment, but also build a platform for inheriting family traditions, and will be promoted to more corridors according to residents’ opinions in the future.
