A sudden earthquake in Shigatse, Tibet, caused severe damage. After the earthquake, the rescue forces responded quickly, and a race against the clock rescue operation was launched.
In the worst-hit areas, collapsed houses are everywhere, and many people are trapped in critical condition. Shigatse special police, fire and medical rescue teams rushed to the scene at the first time. Braving aftershocks, they dug deep into the rubble, scouring every possible place for survivors.
After hours of painstaking digging in front of a residential building that had almost completely collapsed, rescuers managed to free an elderly man who had been trapped. The old man was found weak but conscious. Rescue workers carefully carried the old man on a stretcher and rushed him to a temporary medical point for treatment. The medical staff at the scene immediately launched a comprehensive examination and emergency treatment of the elderly, after some efforts, the elderly’s vital signs gradually stabilized.
At the same time, rescue dogs are also playing a key role in the rubble. With their keen sense of smell, they have helped rescue workers find signs of life in many buried places. With the joint efforts of all rescue workers, more and more trapped people were rescued from the rubble.
