Mediation result, Under the unremitting efforts of the undertaking judge, Li Mou fully realized the fault of not taking effective safety measures in raising animals, paid compensation to Wang mou in one lump sum on the spot, and apologized to him. Li also promised to properly manage pet dogs in the future and put an end to uncivilized dog raising behavior. In the end, the two sides shook hands and the dispute was successfully resolved.
The judge reminded that Article 1,246 of the Civil Code of the People’s Republic of China stipulates: “If an animal breeder or manager violates management regulations and fails to take safety measures to cause damage to others, the animal breeder or manager shall bear tort liability; However, if it can be proved that the damage was intentionally caused by the infringed, the liability can be reduced.”
Pet owners must always bear in mind the basic obligation of leash, effectively perform the reasonable management and restraint responsibility for pets, not only responsible for pets, but also to protect the safety of others around, so as to avoid unnecessary disputes and create a harmonious neighborhood environment.
