A Minnesota dog has earned the coveted title of Most Valuable Puppy at this year’s Puppy Bowl, held on Super Bowl Sunday on Animal Planet.
Foxtrot, a Collie from Pet Haven of Minnesota, was honored with the MVP award for his stellar performance during Puppy Bowl XXI. The shelter expressed their excitement over the achievement, sharing on social media that they were “BEYOND psyched” for the furry athlete. “This Collie boy played hard, and it paid off!” the post read, celebrating Foxtrot’s impressive on-field determination.
The annual event, which features adoptable puppies from across the country, culminated with a thrilling victory for Team Fluff, who triumphed 68-66 over Team Ruff in a nail-biting final play. Foxtrot’s skill and perseverance earned high praise from Animal Planet, who noted that his “determination and skill led to epic moments on the field.”
Foxtrot wasn’t the only Minnesota dog contributing to Team Fluff’s victory. Another pup from Pet Haven, Potato, also took part in the game, helping lead the team to its dramatic win.
