Rimjhim founded Pawsitivity, an initiative that helps protect stray animals by providing them with reflective collars. These collars are QR-enabled, allowing anyone who finds a lost dog to access vital information such as the dog’s medical history, vaccination details, and its caretaker’s contact information. The reflective design helps make the dog visible in the dark, significantly reducing the risk of accidents.
Since its inception, Pawsitivity has helped over 20 lakh dogs and cattle across India. However, many more are still in need of this protection. In fact, studies show that stray animals are responsible for a significant number of road accidents, causing harm to both animals and humans. For example, between 2011 and 2019, Nagpur recorded over 11,000 incidents involving stray animals, and in 2022, Haryana reported that stray cattle caused 900 road deaths.
