Layla, a courageous whippet-cross dog, is searching for her forever home after a heartbreaking start in life. Rescued from the meat trade in China, Layla has endured unimaginable trauma, but with the help of Pembrokeshire’s Greenacres Rescue, she is now ready for a new chapter.
A Troubled Past and a Bright Future
Layla, who is deaf and carries emotional scars from her past, has found a temporary home in foster care while waiting for a loving and patient owner. Despite the hardships she’s faced, Layla has shown resilience and is now looking for someone who will appreciate her for who she is and provide the care and support she needs.
According to Greenacres Rescue, Layla “has had a very sad past” but has settled well into her foster environment, where she lives with other dogs. However, she does have a preference for male dogs and requires a dog-savvy, patient owner to help with her transition.
A Special Appeal
Greenacres Rescue, in partnership with Candy’s Cane Rescue, is actively seeking a forever home for Layla. They emphasize that Layla “needs someone to love her for who she is” and let her enjoy the peaceful, happy life every dog deserves.
Layla is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. She will also come with an adoption pack from Burns Pet Nutrition and five weeks of free pet insurance from Agria.
If you are interested in offering Layla the loving home she deserves, please visit the Greenacres Rescue website for more information and to see if you could be her perfect match.
