In an extraordinary transaction, S Sathish, a prominent dog breeder from Bengaluru, India, has acquired Cadabomb Okami, the world’s most expensive dog, for a staggering €5.3 million (₹50 crore). This remarkable purchase has drawn global attention to the rare wolfdog breed, a hybrid between a wolf and a Caucasian Shepherd.
At just 8 months old, Cadabomb Okami stands at an impressive 30 inches tall and already weighs 75 kg. Describing his acquisition, Sathish, 51, expressed his passion for rare and unique dogs, stating, “I spent 50 million rupees on this pup because I am fond of dogs and like to introduce unique breeds to India.”
This is not the first extravagant purchase by Sathish, a well-known dog enthusiast who owns more than 150 dog breeds, many of them highly rare. Last year, he paid €3 million for a chow-chow that closely resembled the Qinling panda.
Sathish’s estate spans seven hectares and houses his extensive collection of dogs, which are fed raw food and cared for by a team of six keepers. Sathish has gained significant attention due to his rare dogs, often attracting large crowds eager to take selfies with them. He charges between €2,600 and €10,000 for appearances, from 30-minute sessions to several-hour visits.
“They are rare, and people are always curious to see them,” Sathish commented. “My dog and I get more attention than an actor at a movie screening. We are crowd-pullers.”
The acquisition of Cadabomb Okami solidifies Sathish’s reputation as one of the world’s most extravagant dog lovers and breeders.
