Bowling Green, KY — Zeus, a charming and humorous dog with a cartoonish, low-riding body, is looking for his forever home after being rehomed multiple times. The Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society describes him as a “low rider” pup due to his tiny legs and tank-like build, making him irresistibly adorable.
Zeus, a basset hound/German shepherd mix, weighs 61 pounds and has the personality to match his unique look. According to the shelter, he tries to project a tough image when meeting other animals, but once he’s alone with people, he’s a gentle, affectionate “marshmallow” who loves cuddling and being the center of attention.
At 8 years old, Zeus is still full of energy and loves spending time outdoors. The shelter believes the perfect home for him would be one where he can enjoy plenty of family time, along with a yard to indulge his mischievous streak. Despite his playful nature, Zeus has yet to find a permanent home.
Sadly, Zeus has been rehomed several times, and it’s beginning to take a toll on him. “He’s starting to feel like maybe he just doesn’t belong anywhere,” the shelter shared. “He just wants a human best friend and doesn’t want to share the attention with other animals.”
In exchange for a loving home, Zeus promises a lifetime of loyalty and affection. He’s looking for a family that will appreciate his personality and give him the stable, loving environment he’s been longing for.
