WALTON LE DALE, Lancashire — A harrowing incident unfolded as a police dog, while engaged in the search for a missing person, unexpectedly turned on its handler, inflicting severe injuries before being fatally shot by armed police personnel. The tragic episode has left Lancashire Police in mourning, grappling with the necessity of ending the life of the loyal K9, identified as PD Jax.
The unsettling events transpired during the early hours of Thursday, when law enforcement officers were diligently scouring Walton Le Dale, Lancashire, for a person reported missing. At approximately 5:15 am, the police canine PD Jax exhibited a sudden aggression towards its own trainer, leading to a brutal attack that left the handler seriously wounded.
