Metallica, the iconic heavy metal band, had an unexpected furry fan in the audience during their recent concert in Southern California. Storm, a dog, managed to make her way to the band’s show at SoFi Stadium, treating herself to an evening of the band’s greatest hits.
According to a social media post by Metallica, Storm ventured out from her home near SoFi Stadium and found her way to the gig entirely on her own. The Grammy-winning musicians were in town for their #M72LA show when the canine gatecrasher decided she wanted to be part of the action.
The band’s Facebook page shared an image of Storm casually seated in a stadium chair, her gaze fixed on the stage. “After a full night taking in the show with her #MetallicaFamily, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day,” the post explained.
Adding a humorous twist, Metallica playfully mentioned that Storm had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including “Barx Æterna,” “Master of Puppies,” and “The Mailman That Never Comes,” putting a canine spin on some of their popular tracks.
However, Metallica also advised concertgoers not to bring their pets to any of their world tour dates, emphasizing that Storm’s appearance was a unique exception. The band’s post concluded with a light-hearted note, recognizing that Storm had certainly “had her day.”
The Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation in L.A. later provided an update on Storm’s well-being, confirming that she was safe and had been taken to a nearby shelter by Animal Services after her adventure at the concert went viral. Subsequently, a local resident in the area claimed Storm, stating that she had escaped from their yard.
