A dog bite incident in Brompton, Adelaide, has left two individuals hospitalized. The incident occurred around 8:30 pm on Tuesday when a man and a woman from Brompton were bitten by their dog.
South Australia Police responded to the incident, and both victims were transported to the hospital for medical attention. The local council staff removed the dog from the property.
The City of Charles Sturt confirmed that the incident took place inside a private property on Blight Street. The dog owner called the police and an ambulance before contacting Charles Sturt for assistance.
The council stated that the dog was impounded by CCS Community Safety After Hours Contractors under the guidance of their Senior Community Safety Officer. An investigation into the attack is ongoing, involving contact with the owner and all parties involved. The dog will remain in custody until a determination is made.
