by Lisa

Renowned English television personality Simon Cowell, 64, has expanded his family once again, this time with the adorable addition of Pebbles, as announced on his Instagram on Thursday. The media mogul shared a heartwarming two-photo carousel to introduce the latest canine member.

In the primary image, Cowell is seated at a table, cradling the charming Pebbles in his arms. The duo shares an endearing moment, leaning in for what appears to be a sweet exchange, capturing the essence of the new bond. The second photo captures Cowell joyfully nestling his face into Pebbles’ ear, radiating happiness. While Cowell hasn’t revealed Pebbles’ breed, the pictures showcase a delightful connection between the dog dad and his new companion.

This marks Cowell’s fifth venture into dog parenthood. His canine family has included Yorkshire terriers Squiddly and Diddly. Following his mother’s passing in 2016, Cowell extended his care to her dog, Freddy, and later welcomed a fourth furry friend, Daisy, in 2018.

Beyond being a devoted pet owner, Cowell has a notable history of animal activism, particularly in support of dogs. In October 2018, he donated over $36,000 to Humane Society International, contributing to the rescue of 200 dogs, including poodles, Labs, and collies, from a distressing dog meat farm in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

Wendy Higgins, HSI’s Director of International Media, highlighted the impact of Cowell’s generous donation, stating, “His support helped financially but also in raising awareness. We met people in South Korea who had heard of his donation and it really had an impact.”

In July 2020, Cowell experienced an emotional reunion with one of the rescued dogs, Robin, a Maltese mix, during a segment on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. The pup found a forever home with the show’s news correspondent, Philippa Tomson, showcasing the enduring impact of Cowell’s dedication to animal welfare.
