Sunshine Coast, Queensland – Emma Gibbons, with her team of skilled women, is making waves in the booming global pet treat market, offering a sustainable range of treats that are so enticing, they could pass for human consumption.
The idea behind Huds and Toke took shape around a family kitchen table in 2012, inspired by the imaginative dragons created by Emma and Russell Gibbons’ sons.
Today, their eco-friendly pet treats, crafted in a purpose-built factory located in an industrial park on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, are making their way to pet lovers not only across Australia but around the world.
Ms. Gibbons proudly shared, “Our treats are featured at dog birthday parties and dog-friendly coffee meetups, making us a favorite among cafes. It’s about spreading a bit of happiness by sharing joyful moments with our furry friends.”
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has recognized the appeal of Huds and Toke’s creations, commissioning the company to produce “Doggie Doughnuts” annually. These treats are distributed in the USA, UK, Australia, and New Zealand to mark International Dog Day on August 26.
Ms. Gibbons also highlighted the impressive figures of Australia’s pet food market, which exceeds $4.3 billion annually, with the pet treats segment accounting for over $302.9 million in value.
