Singaporean authorities are launching an investigation into the untimely demise of two dogs who had recently frequented the Parry Avenue field, amid growing concerns of potential poisoning within the community.
On a seemingly routine outing, two canines found themselves enjoying a leisurely romp in the expansive field at Parry Avenue, partaking in the usual doggy pastime of grass-chewing. Tragically, within hours, both pets succumbed to what appears to be a mysterious poisoning.
Parry Avenue, a favored haunt among dog owners in the Kovan region, has recently transformed into a place of dread following the abrupt and devastating fatalities of these two furry companions.
The heart-wrenching loss of these dogs has sent shockwaves through a tight-knit community of dog enthusiasts, prompting them to take proactive measures. Signs have been erected, urgently cautioning fellow pet owners against bringing their cherished animals to the ill-fated field.
Recounting the harrowing experience, dog owner Cheryl, who prefers to be identified by her first name, shared the tragic ordeal that befell her beloved nearly two-year-old bernedoodle, Palo. On the fateful Friday of October 6th, Palo returned from the Parry Avenue field and began vomiting uncontrollably, experiencing four bouts in a mere 20 minutes.
Alarmed by Palo’s deteriorating condition, Cheryl rushed him to the nearest veterinary clinic. To her dismay, Palo’s condition took a dire turn while at the clinic, as he began suffering from seizures.
“Despite fighting bravely for eight grueling hours in the intensive care unit (ICU),” Cheryl lamented, “he passed away in the early hours of October 7th.”
Cheryl disclosed that Palo had indulged in some grass-nibbling at the Parry Avenue field, a seemingly innocuous behavior shared by many dogs.
