Unidentified Dog Attack Leaves Man with Severe Leg Injury in Corby

An urgent appeal has been launched to locate an unidentified dog responsible for a vicious attack that left a man with significant leg injuries in Corby on Friday, September 29.

The unfortunate incident occurred as the man was strolling along a path between Garston Road in Great Oakley and the Morrisons store in Oakley Road, between midday and 12:30 PM, when he fell victim to a dog bite.

The victim sustained injuries that required immediate medical attention, inflicted by a large, dark brown/black dog that was unaccompanied and appeared to be without a collar.

Northamptonshire Police have issued a statement, saying, “Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a dog bite incident in Garston Road, Corby. The incident happened between midday and 12.30pm on Friday, September 29, when a man was walking along a footpath which leads from Garston Road to the Morrisons store when he walked past a dog.”

The unidentified dog bit the man on the back of his thigh, causing a significant injury that necessitated medical treatment. Authorities are now seeking to identify both the dog and its owner.
